Highlights from the video
Welcome back to DDC Weekly and I'm Karthi Subbaraman.
First off, I want to apologize for being a bit MIA lately. After 35 days of travel and back-to-back meetings, I really appreciate your patience. Your support means the world to me! 🙏
Today, I want to dive into a topic that's been on my mind: UX Maturity in Indian Organizations.
Understanding UX Maturity
Many companies still don't prioritize design. Often, there's just one designer juggling multiple roles. I know it can feel overwhelming, but here's the silver lining: it's also a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills!
The UX Maturity Model
Most organizations in India fall between levels two and three, where design is acknowledged but often underfunded. Understanding where your organization stands can really help you navigate your role better.
Tips to Thrive in Low UX Maturity Settings
Evangelize Best Practices: Don't hesitate to share your knowledge! Influencing positive changes can make a huge difference.
Highlight Your Strengths: Focus on what you do best and advocate for projects that align with those strengths.
Choose Product-Focused Clients: If you're in a service role, look for clients that allow you to dive deep into product design.
Remember:
Progress starts from where you are. Let's make the most of our current situations and continue to grow together! I'm really looking forward to your questions and insights. Until next week, keep questioning and keep designing!
