πEvery week, we'll dissect an application/webapp and distill it down to two UI learnings we can take away from that app.
This week's chosen Application is Ghost.org. Ghost is a open source platform for creators to publish content, send newsletters, etc. We also use it here at Xperian to run our blog and send you this newsletter.
Breakdown #1
Ghost allows its users to create blogs and categorises the posts by its status so users can jump into posts super quickly, instead of offering all posts and doing an additional filtering step. This super friendly no-think interface is a hit and copied by many blogging platforms.

Ghost also allows it users to see a stream of activity from the website without the need for installing a cookie or a 3rd party plugin. It does this by simplifying the information in one go, instead of overwhelming the user ‡
